I'm quite left-brained for an artist; I enjoy organizing, planning, marketing, even bookkeeping. My sketchbooks amaze other artists with the amount of anal-retentive record keeping I do. It's one way to procrastinate doing the hard mental work of planning a painting! My husband Dick and I have two grown children who are also artists; our daughter Katy Gray is a photographer and son Bob Parins is a singer-songwriter. I retired from a career as an art director in 1998. We spend summers on a lake in northern Wisconsin and winters in a community of artists in Florida.
