On the Cover of farmers’ market today
“Under the Awning” (above) a recent painting of the Sarasota Florida downtown farmers’ market, will be the January 2010 cover image for the nationally distributed magazine, dedicated to the interests of those who take part in their local farmers’ markets. The magazine will also use a second Parins painting, “Apple Pie,” for the October issue. Giclée prints of the cover paintings are available for $79. Contact Kris Parins.
southern Watercolor Society’s 33rd Exhibition
Juror Cheng-Khee Chee has included the painting “Side of a Barn” in the 95 paintings in the exhibit. The society includes members from 18 southern states. This year the exhibit will be held at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts in Madisonville, Kentucky from March 26 - April 30, 2010.
