Silver Lining

Canyon Spirit
1/19/22
It's a relatively cold day here in Florida, perfect for catching up on correspondence. I hope you are having a relaxing day!
Recently, I felt it was best to cancel a solo exhibition that I had been planning for nearly a year. (Covid closures, enough said.) I'd intended to introduce a new series of paintings that explore the pattern and power of canyons, mountains and rock formations, and the impact they have on me as an artist.
My silver lining is that I am now free to share with you the new paintings that I'd been holding for that solo show. If you would like to see more paintings from the series, take a look at the Land and Water Collection on my website.
A sample from the series: In Canyon Spirit, the rocks have a story to tell, one of violent volcanic formation and eons of silent sentinel duty. They form the walls of an isolated desert canyon, a place that feels sacred. The bird, free to fly, provides a contrast and spark of life.
Note that some paintings are marked "On Hold", which means they are unsold but currently entered in exhibits. Please contact me for a layaway purchase arrangement.
Thank you for your interest and support. Feel free to forward this newsletter if you know someone who might like to see it.
Warm Regards,
